The Challenges:

What can we do to create a truly meaningful overseas training experience?

“We’ve been providing overseas language training programs for young employees for a while now. But unfortunately, on one hand we are getting complaints from some of the attendees saying that the classes and home-staying experience didn’t meet their expectations, and on the other hand, some seem to be using their time abroad simply to have fun.

Our Approach:

While overseas, many things can happen that you didn’t expect and thus weren’t prepared for. How can you expand your assumptions and prepare yourself to grow through the experience? It is important to keep this question in mind even before going abroad.

In order to prepare individuals for their upcoming overseas training, we provide a program called ALP (Action Learning Project), which focuses on understanding the company’s true challenges and motivations, in addition to the usual language classes. After returning to Japan, the attendees will share their overseas training experience in a presentation.

The Results:

The TOEIC scores of the employees significantly improved in this programーby as much as a 400-point increase in 3 months. In addition to learning English communication skills, their experience working on projects in a foreign country gave them both confidence and an independent mindset. As an additional benefit, for many of our clients this program has proven attractive to potential job candidates who are focused on a global business career, thus aiding in their recruiting efforts.
